Here are a few good books that opened up my mind in different ways, whether it was in regards to how I view the current food system, my emotional health, or my overall outlook on life. See if any float your boat.

The Alchemist:

This is an oldie but goody. It tells an inspiring story of finding one's purpose in life.

Breakfast with Buddha:

You don't necessarily have to be interested in Buddhism to enjoy this book, as it's actually very entertaining. It's a story of a man who has no interest in learning from an OG Buddhist, but thanks to his sister, he doesn't have much of a say in the matter.

The Four Agreements:

If you don't read the book, here are the four agreements to take away...It does go into some ways to break old habits, but in a nutshell:

1) Be impeccable with your word
2) Don't take anything personally
3) Don't make assumptions
4) Always do your best

Salt, Sugar, Fat

If you'd like a really good reason to stop eating junk food, give up certain brands, and an overall in-depth view of what our food system has turned into, this is for you. It also gives an eye-opening look into food addiction, written by an investigative journalist's burning desire to find the truth.
